Beach Academy offers a monthly learning session on the south wales coast for families that home educate linking them to the coastal environment through marine and environmental activities and learning. These are hands on in-person sessions bringing coastal exploration to life, delivered by qualified beach teachers.

 

• All families come on the same day, one Thursday a month to Rest Bay, Porthcawl.

• 2 classes run during the day.                  
  A Family class from 11-1pm and a Youth class that runs from 11-2pm.

• Family classes are open to all ages and abilities and at least one adult must be present and take part with their child(ren).

• Youth classes (age 10+ only) are aimed at budding young Marine Biologists and young people can be left without parental supervision so parents can stay with any other younger children in the family class.

• No dogs (sorry!). 

• Classes are outdoors. Please dress appropriately to enjoy your time with us. We also have some all-in-one weatherproofs for infants so please ask if you would like to use one on the day.

• All those who attend on the day need a ticket. Adults and children. Those without tickets will not be able to take part in the lessons.

You are welcome to pay online in advance by card or PayPal (advised if you want to secure youth class places) or you can pay on the day at Beach Academy in the Rest Bay Watersports Centre with card or cash.
