Coastal Training Days
Our 'Teach on the Beach' coastal courses are for any adult, that works with children or young people, to learn how to use beaches as a resource, and a space, to deliver lessons outdoors.
As specialists teaching outside on beaches in all seasons, our courses offer tried-and-true outdoor tips, skills, secrets and activities that will inspire new educators as well as seasoned pros.
There are 3 course levels to choose from; Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced. Each course offers professional learning and support to master the basics, brush up on skills and increase knowledge.
Training takes place at Rest Bay Porthcawl or your own beach in your local learnnig area on request. For further details please get in touch.
Develop your curriculum and outdoor provision
Lacking the skills, knowledge or ideas to deliver lessons and activities on the beach? We've got in covered. These bespoke 3-hour training workshops can cover any curriculum topic and show you how to link it to the beach and outdoor lessons. E.g. You may wish to brush up on living things in rockpools or how to deliver painting techniques on a beach, your call.
Topic training is bespoke and can be delivered at Rest Bay, Porthcawl or on your local beach in your area.
Coastal Training for students
Students attending Universities or Colleges can enjoy an ideas packed Coastal Training Day with Emma, covering many topics to take into the classroom or childcare setting. This taster day is rewarded with a certificate of completion that can be added to portfolios and student days can be tailored to suit. Training takes place at Rest Bay Porthcawl, or your own local beach on request.

For qualified Forest School Leaders wishing to lead Coastal School. This Agored Cymru top-up training course enables you to use what you already know, develop new skills and knowledge required to apply them to the coastal environment to plan, run and evaluate CS sessions for children.
