What is it

​

Seaside Rangers is a Marine Wildlife and

Nature Club for chidlren dedicated to

studying and conserving marine life in our

seas, on our beaches and along our

coast.

​

As a Seaside Ranger, children discover,

explore, have fun, get hands-on

experiences, learn field study skills, grasp

identification techniques and make stuff!

Members, and their families, also get the

opportunity to go on field trips that are

arranged seasonally throughout the year

and take part in any of the family events

organised each month.

When we meet?

Seaside Rangers meet every Monday for a 1 hour session during term-time only. Dependent on the weather and seasons, sometimes in or out. 

 

What time?

4:30 - 5:30pm.

 

Location / Where we meet

We have a base kindly provided by Penybont SLSC at the top of the slip at Ogmore-by-Sea Beach, Glamorgan Heritage Coast in the Rivermouth car park and then use the habitats directly on our doorstep for outdoor sessions.

 

Age Limit

The Seaside Rangers club is aimed at children aged 7-11 in years 3,4,5 and 6 only. Children may be left unaccompanied if you so wish. No charge for adults.

 

Club Fees

£4.50 per child / per session payable on the day.

Registration

Parents must complete a registration form for their child(ren) the first time they come to club. Registration is free.

 

Health & Safety Issues

Wear appropriate clothing for each meeting as sessions are hands-on

outdoor learning – whatever the weather. We do, as a club, advise that your child has up to date anti-tetanus injections.

Hoodies, t-shirts and beanies are available for Seaside Rangers members

to purchase.
