What is it
Beach Buddies is a Coastal School club
for children aged 5 and under. Little sponges
buddy up with a parent (or grandparent etc)
to learn and play outdoors on the beach with a
qualified infant/reception primary school
Beach Buddies learn together, explore, be
creative, discover and connect with the coast
and blue planet. Members, and their families,
also get the opportunity to go on field trips
that are arranged seasonally throughout the
year and take part in any of the family events
organised each month.

When we meet?
Beach Buddies meet monthly for a 1 hour to 90 minute outdoor session year-round on the first Sunday of the month, whatever the weather!
That varies! Tide dependent. Members will be notified in advance.
Location / Where we meet
Rest Bay, Porthcawl CF36 3QB. The home of Beach Academy Wales using the marine habitats directly on our doorstep for outdoor sessions.
Beach Buddies is aimed strictly at young children aged 5 and under only. No exceptions. Children are never to be left unaccompanied. Older siblings may wish to join in Seaside Rangers (age 6-12) which runs at the same time.
Registration & Payment.
Parents must complete a registration form for their child(ren) the first time they come to club. Registration is free. Payment must be pre-paid before attendance.
Health & Safety Issues
Wear appropriate clothing for each meeting as sessions are hands-on outdoors, whatever the weather. We do, as a club, advise that your child has up to date anti-tetanus injections.
